Who Am I?

I am an Australian musician who plays live in both the Roots/Fusion genre and the Rock/Pop world. As well as live performance, I also compose for live and video/film soundtracks, produce and engineer for recordings in a variety of styles.

Drawing on the experience of over 25 years of making music I also write in various publications about how to use modern technology creatively in the recording and multimedia development processes. On top of all this I also run a small record label called POKE Records.

I have a Master's degree from the Music Department of the City University in Music Information Technology and I am also involved in a number of organisations that promote and support musician's and live music such as the Musicians' Union and folkWISE.

History

A refugee from sunnier climes, I am now based just north of London in England. I have been playing music professionally for over 25 years now in a variety of styles from light jazz, through rock to acoustic folk music. I studied music at the City University and also write on music and audio matters in the professional music and computer press. I have also co-written a book with Roger Evan - The PC Music Guide (ISBN 1-870775-42-2) which is now in its second edition.
